Szemléletváltás a Balassiban

Iskolánk 2016-ban sikeresen pályázott Erasmus+ köznevelési mobilitási projektben való részvételre. „Szemléletváltás a Balassiban” című pályázatukat a szakmai és a szemléletmódban történÅ‘ megújulás motiválta. A választott négy kurzus témája – IKT eszközök az oktatásban; tanítási stratégiák, konfliktuskezelés, érzelmi nevelés; kreativitás a képzÅ‘művészet tanításában; intézményvezetÅ‘k tapasztalatcseréje –, illetve a külföldi kollégákkal történÅ‘ együttműködés kiváló lehetÅ‘séget nyújtott a felfrissüléshez, a szakmai megújuláshoz.
A kurzusokon résztvevÅ‘k a különbözÅ‘ nevelési igényű diákok oktatásához és a sokoldalú intelligencia fejlesztéséhez kaptak gyakorlati ötleteket, bÅ‘vítették módszertani eszköztárukat.
Az iskola rendszergazdája, Kis László, Prágába utazott az „IKT az oktatásban” című továbbképzésre, ahol olyan informatikai technológiákkal ismerkedett meg, melyekkel játékosabbá és élvezetesebbé tehetÅ‘k a tanórák.
Varga Gézáné rajztanár, a firenzei „Tevékeny Művészet: a művészet megértése és örömteli megélése az osztályteremben és azon túl” tanfolyamon a művészet pszichológiájába nyert betekintést. Vizsgálták, milyen eltérÅ‘ módon érti meg az egyén az Å‘t körülvevÅ‘ világot, milyen pozitív hatással bír a művészet tevékenységeinkre, közérzetünkre.
Koczkáné Redele Ilona a szintén Firenzében megrendezett „Tanítási stratégiák, konfliktuskezelés és érzelmi műveltség” elnevezésű kurzuson mélyítette ismereteit.
A Tinódi Sebestyén tagintézmény vezetÅ‘je, Rázsi Botond, Belfastban az „Általános- és középiskolai vezetÅ‘knek szervezett továbbképzés” résztvevÅ‘je volt. Az iskolai menedzsment és stratégiai gondolkodás terén szerzett tapasztalatokat, melyek abban segítenek, hogyan lehet az iskolai szervezetet és működést továbbfejleszteni a hatékony tanulásfejlesztés érdekében.
A kurzusokon tanult módszerek, gyakorlatok, új oktatási és tanulásszervezési technikák átadásával a résztvevÅ‘k hozzájárulnak ahhoz, hogy tantestületük valamennyi tagja bátran nézzen szembe a digitális nemzedék oktatásának kihívásaival.

Change of attitude at Balassi Primary School

Our institution Egri Balassi Bálint Primary School is situated on a housing estate in the seat of Heves County. The composition of our students has changed significantly because of the repeated reorganizations and closings of schools in recent years. The school, which used to have outstanding results and high reputation, has to face serious enrolment problems. Besides the students with special needs, the number of socially-culturally disadvantaged ones and of pupils with behavioural and learning disabilities has increased considerably. The aging of the teaching staff is also typical: the average age is between 53 and 55. The Erasmus+ Mobility Project enables the renewal of our colleagues who are highly qualified but are sometimes averse to technical innovations and show the early signs of burn-out.
According to the results of the situation and SWOT analyses carried out in our school, our aim is to review our approach to education. The topics of the four training courses – ICT in education; teaching strategies, conflict management, emotional literacy; understanding and enjoying art in the classroom; exchange of experience among head teachers – and the cooperation with the foreign colleagues will make way to refreshment and professional renewal.
Through the participants who are the system administrator, the head of the foreign language department, the art teacher our methodological toolbar will expand. We will get practical ideas how to teach pupils with different educational needs and how to improve their many-sided intelligence. The head teacher with his experience gained on the fields of school management and strategic thinking can help how the school operation can be improved in order to achieve efficient learning development.
Beside the traditional talent-care, we can put more emphasis on those who underperform. We will improve their creativity through art activities supported by ICT as well as through activities based on music and movements.
By conveying the methods, practices, new educational and study-organizational techniques acquired on the courses, the participants will help all the staff members to face bravely the challenges of teaching the digital generation. As their own digital competences will develop, the determined usage of the info-communicational devices in every subject and the improvement of the pupils’ e-consciousness will appear. New methods will be used, new teaching and learning attitudes will be formed and our pedagogical practices will change. The pupils will associate their learning process with a relaxed and joyful experience instead of the negative way they relate to it now.
